Synoptic situation:
Weak La Nina condition is may occur to prevail, while the IOD conditions will be in negative phase with a
tendency towards neutral state during November 2021. Based on the global and regional circulation
patterns, the outlook for the month of November 2021 in Pakistan is as under:
Monthly Weather Outlook:
A tendency for normal to slightly below normal
precipitation is predicted over the northern half of
the country while the southern half is likey to
receive nearly normal precipitation during the monthly weather forecast.
Most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan,
Kashmir and northern parts of Punjab and
Balochistan are expected to receive slightly below
normal precipitation during the monthly weather forecast.
Rest of the country including most parts of Sindh,
Balochistan and southeastern Punjab are likely to
receive nearly normal rainfall during the month.
November Weather Outlook: Impacts:
• Dry condition during the month of November will be favourable for harvesting of kharif crops in the
country monthly weather forecast.
• Dry condition will have negative impact on air quality index in urban (southern and central Punjab)
areas of the country; resulting in smog development over these areas.
• Clear sky condition during the last fortnight of the month is likely to favour the development of
mist/fog over plain areas of Punjab and Sindh, especially during late night and early morning hours
of the day.
• Night temperatures will gradually decrease during the monthly weather forecast.
